Main » news » Volgograd Oil Refinery will replace…

LUKOIL-Volgogradneftepererabotka is building a vacuum gasoil fractionation block and a deasphaltization unit. The facilities are being built within refinery modernisation programme, which implies the release of high-quality and eco-friendly fuels and oils.

The production of components of basic oils will be modernised as a result of construction of hydrotreated vacuum gasoil fractionation unit. Then the fractions released from the residues of hydrocracking will be hydrotreated and dewaxed at the existing oil production facility to be further converted into components of basic oils of the second group. These oils will be of higher quality.

The new deasphaltization unit will allow to decommission analogous but outdated and worn units. The new efficient technology implies energy-saving, it simplifies the process of oil production, thus increasing the quality of the end product.

The construction of both units started in 2018. Completion of construction is scheduled for late 2020.

Investment in Volgograd Oil Refinery will be about 20 billion roubles.
